In short

  • Daya has added Sui, a blockchain built for payments, as a settlement rail for stablecoin transfers.
  • On Sui, stablecoin transfers carry no network fee at all.
  • You send stablecoins without ever buying, holding or thinking about a network token.

Every blockchain charges a small fee to process a transaction. That is reasonable. What is less reasonable is how you have to pay it.

The fee is almost always payable in that network's own token, and only in that token. So a business that wants to move dollars has to first go and acquire a completely different asset it does not want, hold enough of it, watch the balance, and top it up when it runs low. It is the equivalent of a bank telling you your transfer is fine, but the stamp has to be bought in a currency you do not have.

For one payment it is an annoyance. For a business doing this every week, it is a second treasury to manage, for no reason connected to its actual business.

We have added Sui, a blockchain built for payments, as a settlement rail for stablecoin transfers.

On Sui, sending a supported stablecoin costs nothing.

So the second-token problem above simply does not arise. You are not holding SUI in order to move USDC, because there is nothing to pay for.

This is a rail, not a replacement.

  • Daya still decides how each payment is routed and still sources the liquidity.
  • Sui is one of several networks we settle across. Which one a given payment uses depends on the route, and that stays our job.
  • Your Daya fees are unchanged. A network fee and what we charge are two different things, and one going to zero does not change the other.

What's next

We are extending this across more of our stablecoin flows.

If you are building on the Daya APIs and want to know whether this affects a particular flow, ask us and we will walk through it.

Move money without managing a second balance

Daya handles collection, conversion and cross-border payouts through one product or one API.
