Naira-only remittance rule
Since 1 May 2026, money sent home through Western Union, Remitly and similar apps arrives as naira. It is converted at the official rate. You cannot choose dollars any more. To keep dollars, the money has to come another way, like a bank wire or your own dollar account details.
